Ceramic 3D print

2024

This project is an exploration of the intersection between digital design and traditional craftsmanship through ceramic 3D printing. Drawing inspiration from the abstracted form of a beechnut I developed last semester, I transformed this concept into a vase design. The journey was both challenging and rewarding, especially since it was my first experience with Grasshopper, a tool that allowed for quick adjustments and flexibility in the design process. Watching the digital model gradually take shape as a physical object during the 3D printing process was truly the most exciting part of the project.
