Care Gap – an Interactive Object

Stories from everyday caregiving, marked by shocking, sad, touching, and beautiful moments, unfold behind closed doors in reality. This object is meant to give them a stage. 30% of those training to become caregivers drop out prematurely, 40% report thinking at least monthly about leaving the profession, and half a million skilled caregivers will reach retirement age in the next 12 years. By 2030, we are facing a shortfall of 500,000 full-time caregivers. The democratic shift and care crisis is not an abstract problem but a serious threat to our society and the dignity of every individual.
